Stories and Visual Engineering

Powered by equal parts coffee, curiosity and an undying love for storytelling and robots, I started out as a Computer Engineer because I wanted to build a life-sized version of Mazinger-Z. Then took a cinematic left turn and ended up at the National Film and Television School in England, where I leveled up my screenwriting and directing skills.

My career has zigzagged from directing music videos and commercials in rainy London, to watching my work light up screens at festivals in New York, L.A. and Mexico City. Somewhere along the way, I even snagged a Latin Grammy for Best Music Video. No big deal… okay, it was a huge deal, especially for my mom.

I’m fluent in Spanish, English, German, Java, C# and some binary. I love robots, vampires and cowboys, and I have a thing for mixing genres, from rom-coms to horror to everything in between. Whether it’s a screenplay, a novel, a birthday card or a breakup message, I bring a nerdy enthusiasm and a fresh voice to everything I write.

Oh... I’m also a 50-year-old skateboarder and I recently dislocated my shoulder. I guess storytelling isn’t the only thing I dive into headfirst.

Choro 2021 is a wild post-apocalyptic road trip through the ruins of Venezuela. Part Western, part action thriller, part twisted love story set in a lawless land where anything can happen. It's a fast-paced adventure full of chaos, charm and just the right amount of absurdity.

Because life is full of plot twists, I became a dad and wrote Buenas noches, Caracas, a bedtime book for my 2-year-old son. It’s a tad less apocalyptic than Choro 2021, but with just as much heart.

During the pandemic, I turned my first novel, Choro 2021, into a retro-style video game, partly to fulfill a childhood dream, partly to avoid dying of boredom. I dusted off my old coding brain, embraced pixel art and brought my zombies to life with 8-bit charm.
